Estupendu

Estupendu is our first rosé wine made with Trepat, a native grape variety of La Conca de Barberà.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually in 20kg crates at the optimal ripening point. After destemming and crushing the grapes, a short maceration of the must with its skins is performed for between six and eight hours, until the desired colour is achieved. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tans at low temperatures (14- 16ºC), followed by aging on its lees.

Tasting notes

Onion skin color. On the nose, fresh notes of red fruits stand out, freshly picked, such as strawberry and cherry. On the palate, the entry is fresh and electric, with flavours of red fruits.

Pairing

It is great “estupendu” as an aperitif or to accompany salads, pastas, and pizzas.

We are aware that while making quality wines, the quality of the grapes is more important than the quantity. We are lucky to have vineyards of traditional varieties, such as Macabeu, Parellada, Ull de Llebre or Trepat, which are between 80 and 95 years old.
