Cuvic is our barrel-aged red wine, with a more classic profile. Each grape variety is elaborated and aged separately, between 11 and 14 months in French oak barrels of 300 litres. For us, it represents the culmination of our work in the cellar, as it is the wine to which we dedicate the most time, and (between us) we are very proud of the result.

Grape varieties

Ull de Llebre, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Trepat, located between Blancafort and Milmanda.

Vinification

As with all our wines, the harvest is done manually. Then, we proceed to elaborate wines from each grape variety separately. The wines ferment and macerate with their skins for a period of between 30 and 40 days to extract all the potential of each variety. Then, still separately, they are transferred to barrels where they will remain for between 11 and 14 months. At the end of the process, blending is carried out (we combine the wines in appropriate proportions to complement their potentials), and then the wine is bottled.

Production

4,000 bottles.

Tasting notes

Powerful red colour with aromas of stewed red fruits and jams, accompanied by toasted notes from the time spent in barrels. On the palate, it is powerful, long, and silky, with a very elegant finish.

Pairing

It is recommended with game dishes, stews, or mature cheeses.

We give the utmost importance to our vineyard, and this is where we devote most of our efforts. For us it is the fundamental piece and the main ingredient of our wines. We treat each vineyard differently depending on the wine we want to make, or what is the same, we make a wine from each vineyard.

We are aware that while making quality wines, the quality of the grapes is more important than the quantity. We are lucky to have vineyards of traditional varieties, such as Macabeu, Parellada, Ull de Llebre or Trepat, which are between 80 and 95 years old.
